Alexander Wang and Wool
Equally important is the design with which it is made, so Alexander Wang has decided to lend his image to the campaign for merino wool "Finner No Feeling" by The Woolmark Company for the next two winter seasons.
A suburban street, designer and a merino sheep is what shows the image taken by the great photographer Annie Leibovitz.
The New York designer, who is also creative director of Balenciaga, has included merino wool pieces in his collection autumn - winter 2013, which premiered at the Fashion Week in February, and will do the same with his next collection fall - winter 2014 to be submitted within six months. "I used merino wool since I started working with design so Woolmark came naturally to me," said Alexander Wang "Wool has strong environmental credentials, and is completely modern and relevant."
The campaign aims to position the merino wool fibers that come from Australia as the largest fiber caldiad the world (its strength and finesse are inigualabes) and therefore the designs they choose for their leading brands.
"We are very excited to work with the famous designer Alexander Wang whose innovative designs exhibit the beauty of merino wool with great sensitivity," says Stuart McCullough, CEO, Australian Wool Innovation, parent company of The Woolmark Company. "His ability to think differently embodies our aim to explore the unlimited potential and versatility of wool in the creations of fashion designers."
Without a doubt the best way to be granted to commodities due importance.
